WHERE DOES THE TIME GO

I thought I was going to have more time for crafting, but we've been decorating the living room, and I don't know where the time has gone. I have managed to make a few cards, and here are 2 of them, These are an order for a friend, for her neices wedding, the colour scheme is black and ivory, and she didn't want a church, or a bride and groom on the card. So here is what I have done, the 2nd smaller card is a gift wallet.

I also made this little tag,to go in the gift card, I know it's got a bride and groom on, but she doesn't have to use it if she doesn't want to.

I used            a heart embossing folder from Crafts Too
flowers and pearls from wildorchid crafts
                              heart shaped nesties
martha stewart edge and leaf punches
                              LOTV image coloured with copics

Thanks for visiting my blog and any comments are very much appreciated, love Irene

More time for crafting

Well my grandaughter Freya, who I have looked after 2-3 days a week since she was 6 months, starts full time school on Mon. She has been going part time for the last 2 weeks. So apart from school holidays I will have more time to craft. I will really miss her, but she and her older sister Megan will still visit once a week,at least, and hubby and I will have more time for adventure, now we are both retired. Here is a card I have made for a friend, her birthday is later this month, but she is visiting New York and Boston, to celebrate her 60th, so I have sent it early

The image is a digi stamp from Bugaboo
and the sentiment is computer generated

ANOTHER GOLDEN WEDDING

Well we had another golden wedding to go to on Sun, this was my late mum's goddaughters celebration, I was a bridesmaid for them. They live down south, but decided to hold it in Pudsey, where Brenda is originally from, this was good for me,as my brothers don't live locally, and they both came with their wives, and we had a really good day. The last time we were all together was mum's funeral 4 years ago,so it was good to all meet up again, for  this celebration.
Here is the card I made for them, and because of all the flowers, I also made a box for it

This morning we have just received an invite for another golden wedding (Chas' cousen) in Sept, so will have to get my thinking cap on, for another card. Today is a grandchild free day, we looked after them yesterday and we have them tomorrow, so I am going to get some cards made today. Yesterday we decorated wooden spoons, and dressed them up and we made pizza for lunch. Tomorrow we are having a trip to the Range, so could be an expensive day. Anyway I won't get cards made while i,m on here, so bye for now

Well I must get off this computer, and go get ready, hope it's stopped raining, Irene xx

A few cards

Here are a few cards I have made over the last week, the one above is a friendship card for another docrafter. I have used my favourite tilda of the moment, coloured her with copics, for the border I used a MS  round the page punch, and the flowers are a gift from a friend. The 2nd card is for the Tilda challenge, again on docrafts, hosted by Jennie

I have had the handmade backing paper for quite a while, I think it was from WHS, same Tilda, again coloured with copics, and I used circle nesties and circle nellie snellen dies, flowers from wildorchid crafts and lace and ribbon from stash

Finally the 3rd card is for the Gorguss Girl challenge, again on Docrafts, and I am hosting this challenge

,The challenge was for the card to be in shades of 1 colour plus white and to have some glitter on it. I used another MS punch, the flowers, which I have added glitter to are again from wildorchid crafts, and I also added some sparkle to her boots. Oh and she was also
 coloured with copics
Well I don't think I will get much crafting done next week, as this gorgeous little fellow

and his mum (daddy has to work)are coming to stay for a few days, we haven't seen him since the 1st may, as he lives in Birmingham, so we are looking forward to spending time
with him, so bye for now Irene xx

Here are 2 cards,1 for my sons birthday, and the other for my daughter in law's birthday, yes they share the same birthday, but 2 years apart. I always feel that my male cards are missing something, probably because I cant use ribbons, lace and flowers

Another beautiful day today

Doesn't it make you feel good when the sun is shining, although I can't sit out in it,unless I want to be covered in big red blobs. Well here's a card I made yesterday

it's for my sons father-in-law, and as he always has a BBQ no matter  what the weather, I thought my new LOTV stamp would be ideal, As I couldn't use my
usual flowers and ribbon,I used buttons and thread, and a bit of card candy, hope he likes it.

It's A Girl Thing

The image on this card is called "It's A Girl Thing " and it's a Sugar Nellie stamp from Funky Kits. I bought this stamp as 100% from sales go to a  UK Breast Cancer Charity, and as I am a survivor of this dreadful disease,I thought I would buy it. And now i've used it I love it,in fact it reminds me of one of my grandaughters.

I have coloured the image with copics
The papers were a gift from a friend
The pearls are from Joanne Sheen
And the flowers are Prima

The next card I have to make is a male birthday card,so it could take me a while,I much prefere doing female cards
Well i'd better get my thinking cap on,so bye for now love Irene xx
