Over at Less is More this week the challenge is Monochrome, so either black and white or shades of one colour, and here is my effort
I have chosen shades of brown, and although the card I have used as a mat looks black it is dark brown, I thought I had some brown pearls but couldn't find them, so used cream coloured ones, hope thats okay.
Less is More monochrome
I am going away for a few days and have a pile of ironing to do, so must get cracking, but will try and leave comments on other cards later in the week.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog, love Irene xx

PICK A SQUARE
The recipe this week at Less is More is pick a square
with a choise of five. I have chosen bottom left.
The swirl and sentiment stamp are both from papermania, stamped using victorian velvet distress ink, I have then added a silk flower and tiny white pearls, which don't show up very well.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, Irene xx

Finally
Well I have finally got round to using some of the items that I won in the do-crafts feb draw, and her is the card I made
The stamps are Papermania called Birdsong, coloured with promarkers, which I also won as blog candy (I know, aren't I lucky), the papers are prima botanical, these go really well with the stamped image, sorry I don't know what the embossing folder is as the card was a gift from a friend, and I have added pearls to the centres of the flowers. I am entering this card in the following challenges
ilove promarkers challenge67 Pearls
A spoonful of sugar challenge 153 Things with wings
Fingers crossed that this posts okay, and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, and for leaving a comment, if you are able, Irene xx

LESS IS MORE
Having a nice quite Sunday, much better than last week, eldest daughter was rushed into hospital, it's a long story so won't bore you with it, and she's much better now. Anyway, onto my card, which is for Less is More challenge this weeks theme is butterflies
The wording is a stamp from craftyindividuals which I have had for a while, and never used, and the butterflies are from a MCS cd. I printed the butterflies straight onto the card, and decoupaged the larger ones, and added stickles crystal glitter to the wings, then stamped the words, think I should have rotated the bottom butterflies a bit more, may have another go later. Anyway going to spend a bit of time colouring in images for later, so bye for now, Irene xx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog, and for all the lovely comments
